The New Testament reading for Sunday is from Paul’s letter to the Romans. Paul offers two lists of things that will not separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. The first list is a litany of serious things (“anguish, or distress, or persecution, or…”), and the second list has even more serious things (“neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor…”).
So what’s the take away from all of this (apart from Paul’s absolute confidence in the love of God)?
That the love of God is endless (which is the reason for Paul’s absolute confidence).
More on Sunday’s readings tomorrow.
