Sunday seemed like it was still Easter. Everything was white or covered with flowers. With extra “alleluias” and people getting sprinkled with baptismal water.
Almost like our Holy Mother the Church was having a mom moment - “We went to a lot of trouble to do all of this, so you can just enjoy it for a while.”
Actually, that’s really not what it’s all about.
So why are we still "Easter-ing" three weeks later?
Because there's more to all of this than just Easter Sunday. The Resurrection isn't just about a single moment.
It's also about the impact of the Resurrection. How it ripples out from that moment. Starting with those who knew him best.
More on this tomorrow.
