Almost before you know

When you're really a fan of something, it changes you.  A TV channel has all the movies back-to-back?  That's your weekend.  Even though you already have all of them.

A casual mention of your fandom?  You explode with an amazing in-depth analysis.  Almost before you know you're doing it.  And if you try not to, it's like it's physically painful.

Sunday's epistle (James) has the famous line "faith without works is dead."

It's a little dramatic, but James is explaining faith and works.  That faith changes you.  And works flow out of faith.

If you have a living faith, you will find yourself doing good works.  Almost before you know you're doing them.   And if you try not to, it's like it's physically painful.
