On just about any Sunday, the second reading (the Epistle) is Paul. Once or twice a year, we get other stuff. But the other 106% of the time, it’s Paul.
We get lots of Paul stuff. Every week. Do we really need a special day for even more? Yes, actually. And here’s why.
Not the year or day when it happened. But what Paul was doing, who Paul was when it happened. Today’s first reading (Acts) shows us, it’s pretty bad.
But it also shows us the depth of God’s love. The God who isn’t willing to throw us away. Even at our worst.
Just in case you wondered what Romans 5:8 was all about.
