It can be hard to figure out how God sees things, both in our lives and in the Bible. Sometimes we can completely misunderstand God. It would be great if we could see things from God's perspective every now and then.
The Old Testament reading (1 Samuel) shows Samuel anointing a new king, and it's one of those moments. Looking at the outside, Samuel thinks he knows who the best and brightest are, the ones that God would want to be the king.
Samuel misunderstands God, but God doesn't leave Samuel to wonder. Instead, Samuel finds out God's perspective - God looks to the inside. Which is why this is some of the best advice you'll find online.
It's God's perspective, on each one of us. More on this tomorrow.
