The first reading for Sunday (Acts) shows the Church settling one of its first big debates. It's pretty basic. What does it take to be a follower of Jesus?
The answer gets into the details of how we live our lives. Some of the specifics are a little out of date. Not that many people are into meat sacrificed to idols these days.
But the idea behind it? It's as current as it gets. How I live my life matters.
The example that I set by what I do tells people a lot. About Jesus, and about what it means to be His.
So if I care at all, I have to really think about all the things I say. Without ever opening my mouth.
