Sunday's Gospel (John) shows what happens when the Resurrection moves from the grand scale of Easter to the intimate. We see individual reactions to the Resurrection, people trying to figure out what it means.
But there's more to it than that. After the horrifying public spectacle of Good Friday, the Apostles are hiding in fear. Reports that Jesus has risen are coming to them, but they're still in hiding.
So Jesus seeks them out. And when one of them is still stuck in his doubt and fear, Jesus comes back, again. Which shows us who Jesus really is.
A Savior unwilling to leave us behind, who loves us enough to make it personal.
More on this tomorrow.
