It happens fast. You pass by a home at just the right moment. The front door opens, and you get a glimpse inside as you drive by.
You only see it for a moment. But it makes an impression. And it tells you there's a lot more to it than what you got to see.
Kind of like Sunday's first reading (Daniel). It's a quick glimpse of a much larger passage. A passage that reveals Jesus as the second person of the Trinity.
Its powerful and vivid language makes an impression. And tells us that there's a lot more to Jesus as Christ the King.
