The Sundays of the Church Year have a certain flow. Advent leads into Christmas, then Epiphany. All of it goes together. The order of stuff makes sense.
And then we get the Solemnity of Wait... What? For no apparent reason, the Church throws in something random.
It's totally blatant when it happens. Different colors, readings, music, everything. And this is definitely one of those Sundays.
Except it isn't random. In fact, it's anything but. Turns out that Christ the King is the key to understanding Advent and everything that follows.
