It’s bad. You just had the worst falling out with a friend you’ve ever had. They really needed you. But you bailed on them.
No matter what you tell yourself, you know the truth. It really was all your fault. So it would be great if you could never see them again for the rest of your life.
Because if you have to, it will be a crowning moment of awkward.
Just like the start of Sunday’s Gospel (John). And how its got to feel to the apostles, as they just sit there in the boat. Jesus really needed them. But they bailed on Him.
Uncomfortable? And then some. It’s pretty much the most awkward moment in the Gospels.
